About Us
Boroondara Kids is a community-based educational program catering for children of all backgrounds aged 5 – 9. The program offers a complimentary experience to school by focusing on the holistic wellbeing and character development of children.
In this busy, challenging and changing world it is becoming increasingly necessary for young children to develop and become aware of their spiritual qualities. These inner-most qualities, known as virtues, are fundamental building blocks of character and when drawn out from children, we witness a profound change in how children relate to each other, their family and those around them. Examples of these qualities are kindness, honesty, compassion, service and gratitude. Children also explore themes such as oneness, unity of humanity, faith and service.
Boroondara Kids was initiated by a group of parents and youth working collaboratively, to create local community spaces that foster the development of their own children and those in the neighbourhood. The program is offered free as a service to the community and is supported by the Baha’i Community of Boroondara as one of their community building initiatives.
Holiday Program Sessions
These holiday programs will provide a unique opportunity for primary school aged children from diverse backgrounds, to come together and intensively explore a specific virtue.
The full day format provides an opportunity for a large number of children to meet and learn from each other. The day will see children involved in large and small group work using the arts, sports, drama and collaborative games.

Fortnightly Sessions
Boroondara Kids also offers fortnightly sessions for individual age groups, that are run at various locations in Boroondara. These regular sessions provide ongoing individual development and exploration of many themes relating to real-life understandings and skills.
